São Francisco é uma das cidades mais populares do estado da Califórnia, nos EUA. Tudo na cidade tem um tom especial. A geografia, arquitetura, música, gastronomia, clima, parques e passeios, além de ser um ótimo lugar para compras. Possui vários pontos turísticos:
Golden Gate Bridge, o principal cartão postal da cidade e é uma das mais conhecidas construções dos Estados Unidos. É considerada uma das Sete Maravilhas do Mundo Moderno.
Rua mais torta do mundo, Lombard Street, é mais conhecida por suas curvas fechadas, oito no total, que deram a rua a distinção de ser a rua mais torta do mundo, entre muitos outros.
Prisão de Alcatraz, uma ilha localizada no meio da Baía de São Francisco. Inicialmente foi utilizada como base militar, e somente mais tarde foi convertida em uma prisão de segurança máxima.
Fort Funston é um porto antigo de defesa localizado no canto sudoeste de San Francisco. Anteriormente conhecido como o Lago Merced Reserva Militar, o forte é agora uma área protegida dentro da Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA).
Fisherman’s Wharf, esse é um dos bairros mais turísticos de São Francisco. Ele é mais conhecido por ser ao lado do Pier 39, do Cannery Shopping Center, Ghirardelli Square, o Museu de Cera. Em 1985, o cais foi utilizado como local de filmagem do filme de James Bond, 007 – Na Mira Dos Assassinos.
Golden Gate Park, é um dos maiores parques artificiais do mundo. Entre os jardins no parque estão o Conservatório de Flores, o Jardim do Chá Japonês e o Jardim Botânico de São Francisco. O parque também hospeda a Academia de Ciências da Califórnia e o de Young Museum. O filme A Dama de Xangai tem como pano de fundo o popular parque.
Prefeitura de São Francisco, é a sede do órgão administrativo da cidade de São Francisco aberto em 1915 no Centro Cívico da cidade, sendo considerado um monumento de Belas-Artes e fazendo parte do City Beautiful Movement dos Estados Unidos.
De acordo com o ex-prefeito, Gavin Newsom, “os habitantes de São Francisco sabem que moramos na cidade mais bonita do mundo, uma jóia à margem da Golden Gate“.
A cidade foi palco de vários filmes: X-Men 3 - O Confronto Final, Doce Novembro, Zodíaco, Hulk, A Rede, À Procura da Felicidade, Diário de Uma Princesa, Duro de Matar 2, Um Corpo que Cai, Os Pássaros, entre muitos outros.
Robin Williams, ator, morador ilustre de São Francisco, gravou muitos de seus filmes na cidade, como Babá Quase Perfeita, O Homem Bicentenário e Patch Adams.

Golden Gate Bridge, the main postcard of the city and one of the most famous buildings in the United States. It is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.
The Crookedest street in the world, Lombard Street is best known for its hairpin turns, eight in total, which gave the street the distinction of being the crookedest street in the world, among many others.
Alcatraz Prison, an island located in the middle of Bay Area, in San Francisco. Initially it was used as a military base, and later it became a maximum security prison.
Fort Funston is a former harbor defense installation located in the southwestern corner of San Francisco. Formerly known as the Lake Merced Military Reservation, the fort is now a protected area within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA).
Fisherman's Wharf, is one of the most tourist neighborhoods of San Francisco. It is best known for being next to Pier 39, the Cannery Shopping Center, Ghirardelli Square, the Wax Museum. In 1985, the pier was used as a filming location of one of the 007 movie.

The city played host to several films: X-Men 3 - The Last Stand, Sweet November, Zodiac, Hulk, The Network, The Pursuit of Happyness, Diary of a Princess, Die Hard 2, A Vertigo, The Birds , among many others.
