Dia de São Patrício ou a Festa de São Patrício é um feriado cultural e religioso celebrado em 17 de março. É nomeado por Saint Patrick, o mais comumente reconhecido dos Santos padroeiros da República da Irlanda, que também é conhecida por Eire. A Capital é Dublin.
Os irlandeses possuem este dia como um feriado religioso por mais de 1.000 (mil) anos. No Dia de São Patrício, que cai durante a estação cristã da Quaresma, as famílias irlandesas tradicionalmente vão à igreja de manhã e celebram à tarde. Proibições quaresmais contra o consumo de carne foram dispensadas e as pessoas dançam, bebem e festejam, com a refeição tradicional de bacon irlandês e repolho.

The Irish have observed this day as a religious holiday for over 1,000 years. On St. Patrick's Day, which falls during the Christian season of Lent, Irish families would traditionally attend church in the morning and celebrate in the afternoon. Lenten prohibitions against the consumption of meat were waived and people would dance, drink and feast, on the traditional meal of Irish bacon and cabbage.

The traditional celebration of St. Patrick's Day in Chicago, USA, that has been coloring the river in gree 43 years ago, was celebrated earlier this year, on Saturday (16). The festival also featured a "flying goblin who used a water jet to glide over the river and a green dog.
